Hi, I am Ellen a luxury portrait photographer specializing in Maternity, Motherhood, Beauty & Boudoir.
My love for photography started with my grandfather - who for as long as I can remember always had a camera in his hands. I grew up spending a lot of time with my grandparents who would record all my milestones including my school plays, dance recitals and all special occasions. They had albums upon albums filled with photos of our ancestors as well as the unforgettable moments we shared and I loved spending hours looking at them. These histories and precious moments frozen in time. I cherish these portraits, I want the portraits I take of you to be cherished for generations too.
For my 21st Birthday my friends all chipped in and bought me a camera - because hey, I was the one always taking the photos, capturing the moments and collecting the memories (and let’s face it camera’s weren’t cheap and I always had to have the best one!)
Some time later I went out on a blind date with a gentleman who was, you guessed it - a photographer! Fate? Coincidence? You decide! We began working together on weddings and birthdays, capturing the precious moments of other families and creating lifelong heirlooms.
After 2 miscarriages I gave birth to 2 beautiful and very special girls who changed my world. The beauty of creating another human being is magical
and humbling. The art created of a woman's portrait should be seen and cherished.
My LOVE for creating luxury portraits of the beauty of women in all stages of life was born because of my journey.
Perhaps it was inevitable that this is where I would end up - behind the camera, capturing and gathering memories. This was always the way it was supposed to be, and I am so grateful that I can do something I love, something I was always supposed to do and I know my grandfather would be so proud and happy to see me today.
